Dear Reader,

Last fall, the Elders established a new organization, the Facilities Management Board (FMB), to oversee care and maintenance of our church facilities. The six members of the board are responsible for the building, furnishings, and grounds. Currently, four positions on the board are filled, and we are seeking candidates for the two positions that remain open.

The positions and current members are

-Treasurer: Sharon Davis
-Groundskeeping: Norm Bernier
-Building Maintenance:
-Building Interior:

We are seeking two additional members to serve in the remaining positions for the next 16 months (through the next ministry year). The person serving in the Building Maintenance position will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and improvements of the church building and cabin, including care for the structure and mechanical equipment, repairs, and general improvements. The board member serving in the Building Interior position will be responsible for managing professional and volunteer custodians, management and maintenance of church furnishings and equipment, and will assist in managing use of church property.

Candidates should be at least 18 years old, display spiritual maturity, and demonstrate competence with the assigned tasks. In addition, candidates must be members of our church or currently must be pursuing membership. All board members work together closely to support each other and to share in the responsibilities. We have one meeting each month and meet with the elders twice each year.
