Our church has a long term partnership with the (Anglican) Diocese of Central Tanganyika (in Dodoma, Tanzania). The partnership provides Tanzanian Sign Language Training out in the villages, enables Deaf children to have educational opportunities, and provides opportunities for spiritual growth for Deaf people. Leaders from our church help lead a Bible camp on Andros Island, the poorest island in the Bahamas. Volunteer teams from Bethany and other churches from around the country provide camp for children in the settlements of the island each summer, and provide other assistance throughout the year – such as financial and material assistance when a hurricane devastated the island in 2016.
Our church has a deep love for Jewish people. Chosen People Ministries exists to pray for, evangelize, disciple, and serve Jewish people everywhere and to help fellow believers do the same. For many years, our church has had a close relationship with the Son of David Congregation in Montgomery County which was founded through Chosen People, and with Scott Brown, a Chosen People missionary who leads Celebrate Messiah New Zealand. Our pastor studied at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem and has led tours to Israel.
Our church has been named a “global champion church” in partnership with Converge Worldwide. We are part of a network of over 1,000 churches committed to fulfilling the Great Commission to reach every people group on the earth with the good news of Jesus Christ.
