Beautifully Redeemed And Victoriously Empowered

The B.R.A.V.E ministry helps women to begin and grow in their relationship with God through Biblical teaching and fostering of community.

To accomplish this we “Connect women of all ages together through Biblical discipleship, spiritual development, community fellowship, and personal edifying relationships with other women.”

FIRST LADY BRITTANY YATES

First Lady Brittany Yates has served as the Director of the Women’s Ministry at Bethany Community Church since November 2019, where she pours into the lives of women; helping them to grow in their personal relationships with Jesus Christ while realizing their purpose. Beyond Bethany, Lady Brit serves as a homemaker, supporting Pastor Nate and homeschooling their three children. Prior to deciding to dedicate herself to the care of her family and ministry within the church, Lady Brit served the needs of others in the community. Her care for others led her to serve in the arenas of child welfare, counseling, and medical social work. Lady Brit is also a licensed clinical social work therapist who offers Christian-based therapeutic counseling to help others. Academically, Lady Brit has earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bowie State University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB). Lady Brit seeks opportunities to help women grow and fulfill their God-given purpose.

Our ministry seeks to equip and empower women to boldly carry out the great commission of sharing the gospel and developing others.

We believe that all are created with a purpose, and that we must develop and cultivate the gifts that God has given us, in order to become what He has called us to be. Therefore, our ministry strives to help women develop their gifts for the kingdom.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
-Joshua 1:9

Through Conferences, Fellowships, and Focus Studies, our women seek to walk alongside one another as God continues to mold us into all that He has called us to be as Kingdom Women, and as His daughters.

Hello Bethany Family,

We pray that you are all well this evening. As you know, there is a weather advisory for our area until 10am in effect regarding the incoming snow, potential slippery roads as a result of the weather conditions, and low temperatures. Our understanding is that the snow will conclude by 7am, however, due to the short amount of time that will be available to assess and make a judgement call in the morning that would keep team members, volunteers, and members of the congregation out of harm’s way, after the discussion with the Elders we have decided not to have service in the morning. This decision did not come lightly, but out of an abundance of caution and care for our members, some of whom arrive at the church very early to support service. We believe that this is the best course of action due to the circumstances and the short window to decide and inform everyone. We pray that each of you is warm and safe, and hope that even as we thank God for 39 years as a church from our homes that you will take time for family devotion together.

While we didn’t plan for our anniversary to come this way, we remain grateful for God’s keeping hand on Bethany Community Church for all of these years. We hope to see you all in person next week!

God bless,

Pastor Nate
