The Men's Ministry here at Bethany helps men to begin and grow in their relationship with God, connect with one another, develop as Godly servant leaders within the home, church, and community, and share the love of God with others.
MEET OUR LEADERS
Steve Osterhout
It is exciting to be a part of leading Men’s Ministry at Bethany Community Church. Chris Werner and I accepted this co-leadership role in the Fall of 2023. My wife, Wendy, and I returned to BCC about 2 years ago after attending a different church for a number of years. We started attending BCC originally in 1997. In those previous years, I had the privilege of participating in the discipleship program as both a member and leader. My wife and I also were co-teachers in Children’s Ministry.
For 35 years I have worked as a Clinical Social Worker and currently provide Christian-based counseling to those dealing with a variety of life challenges. It is truly amazing to see how the application of Biblical truths can bring peace, joy and contentment into the lives of others despite the challenges life can bring. During these years of professional work, I have come to understand that God created us for connection first with Him, and then with one-another. I truly anticipate seeing this happen in increasing measure in the Men’s Ministry at BCC.
Hi my name is Chris Werner and I gave my life to Christ at age 9 while in the AWANA ministry. I started attending Bethany in late 2019, and in 2021 My wife , Shiloh and I joined. We both serve in the children’s ministry as we look to help the kids know and grow in Christ.
Currently lead with Steve in the men’s ministry, where we look to build our lives on the Word of God and create a place where men can have open conversations that builds trust and lasting friendships. A way to support men in accomplishing these goals are through small groups, men’s conferences, outreach, service projects and most importantly prayer.
We’d love to connect with you! Fill out this form to get started.
Hello Bethany Family,
We pray that you are all well this evening. As you know, there is a weather advisory for our area until 10am in effect regarding the incoming snow, potential slippery roads as a result of the weather conditions, and low temperatures. Our understanding is that the snow will conclude by 7am, however, due to the short amount of time that will be available to assess and make a judgement call in the morning that would keep team members, volunteers, and members of the congregation out of harm’s way, after the discussion with the Elders we have decided not to have service in the morning. This decision did not come lightly, but out of an abundance of caution and care for our members, some of whom arrive at the church very early to support service. We believe that this is the best course of action due to the circumstances and the short window to decide and inform everyone. We pray that each of you is warm and safe, and hope that even as we thank God for 39 years as a church from our homes that you will take time for family devotion together.
While we didn’t plan for our anniversary to come this way, we remain grateful for God’s keeping hand on Bethany Community Church for all of these years. We hope to see you all in person next week!
